PureVision Toric lenses have taken contact lens design to new heights so that people with astigmatism can also benefit from exceptionally comfortable contact lenses that provide clear and stable vision. Astigmatism is a common eye condition and means in simple terms that vision is blurred as the result of a misshapen lens or cornea. Astigmatism can be easily corrected with contact lenses.
PureVision Toric lenses are daily wear contacts, but they have also been approved for extended wear and can be worn for up to 30 days. The lenses have an enhanced optical design or Lo-Torque Design which creates a stable and comfortable lens producing high clarity of vision. PureVision Toric lenses have a prism ballast design that stabilizes the lenses on the eye. Other design features include a refined optic zone, rounded edges and also Bausch & Lomb’s unique AerGel material.
The combination of all these technologies results in lenses that give the wearer total clarity and lenses that stay moist and let high levels of oxygen reach the eyes. Like PureVision contact lenses, PureVision Toric lenses are made of a silicone hydrogel called balafilcon A and has a water content of 36%.
