Biofinity contact lenses from CooperVision are soft monthly contact lenses that are approved for extended wear. The lenses can be worn on a daily basis or, under the guidance of your eye care practitioner, can be worn for up to six nights and seven days continuous wear.
Biofinity lenses are made from a material that absorbs water and this makes them extremely comfortable and flexible. The technology behind this feature is CooperVision’s Aquaform Technology, which means that the lenses are naturally wettable and do not require any additional wetting agents. This is achieved by the molecular structure of the Aquaform Technology which keeps water locked into the lens.
These properties also allow for large amounts of oxygen to flow through the lenses and this is important for eye health as well as comfort. Biofinity lenses are made from from a silicone hydrogel called comfilcon A and the lenses have a water content of 48%. There is no UV protection with these lenses.
